The Lyric Theatre Play "Chen San and Wu Niang · Parallel Space 2": "Great Depression · Cyberpunk"

Set in the year 20x4, centuries after the Ming Dynasty, this story reimagines the classic tale of Huang Wuniang, who remains longing for her beloved. However, Chen San—an unexpected intruder into this narrative—emerges not as a human, but as an artificial intelligence.

The stage fractures into fragmented timelines. While Wuniang waits for her Chen San, the AI version of Chen San roams digital realms, seeking tranquility and minimalist expression. By chance, he accesses a terminal and drifts into the performative space of the Liyuan Opera "The Great Sorrow of Chen San and Huang Wuniang."

When he attempts to transcend time and space to reach her, the AI’s alarms blare… Will Wuniang uncover his synthetic nature? Will she recoil in fear? Or will she defy all logic, and love him once again?
