About the Performance
“Peter and the Wolf” Composed in 1936 by Soviet composer Sergei Prokofiev for the Moscow Central Children's Theater, Peter and the Wolf was created to introduce classical music to school-aged children and cultivate their musical taste. Nearly a century later, it remains a global classic in children's music.
VIVA! PIPERS is a Hong Kong-based woodwind quintet formed by five young musicians (flute, clarinet, oboe, horn, and bassoon). Each member studied at prestigious institutions in the UK, US, or Australia and has performed with orchestras such as the Hong Kong Philharmonic and Macao Orchestra. Since its founding in 2014, the ensemble has held over 170 concerts, reaching more than 40,000 students. Known for their unique style, interactive performances, and vivid interpretations, they bring music to audiences of all ages.
