Herosim and Tenderness Lieder Recital by Wang Yun-peng & Rachel Cheung

Baritone Wang Yunpeng will join pianist Zhang Weiqing at Mountain View Theater for a program featuring works by Wagner and Verdi. The repertoire includes an adaptation of excerpts from Tristan und Isolde (hailed as the "dawn of modern music"), selections from Wagner’s Wesendonck Lieder (composed for his lover Mathilde Wesendonck), concert adaptations of Verdi’s Rigoletto, and other art songs by the two opera titans. Together, they will unveil the heroic grandeur and tender lyricism embedded in these works.
