About the Performance
The young musicians from the Yale School of Music presented three highly engaging and quality lecture series. They elaborated on the historical development, social background, anecdotes of composers, and the evolution of musical genres during various major periods in music history for the audience. They also created an immersive musical experience for the audience with their unique style of music appreciation. The nurturing and cultivation of Yale's humanistic spirit, combined with years of performance and competition on the international stage, has convinced these young musicians that the "lecture series" format can not only bring classical music closer to the audience but also allow the audience to become interpreters and active participants in the concert.
The three exquisite lectures will span over 300 years of vast musical history, encompassing the romantic and dreamy France, the rigorous and innovative Germany and Austria, and the eclectic Italy; based on classical Baroque, they will weave through musical genres such as Romanticism, Impressionism, and modern jazz, unfolding a rich and layered musical history scroll for the audience, presenting a pure feast of classical music.
