Behind the dazzling stage lights lie countless hours of sweat and perseverance. In this second installment of the "Bay Area Nocturnes" series, we spotlight three iconic instruments—piano, violin, and French horn—bringing audiences backstage to hear three virtuosos share their candid journeys in music.  

They say, “One minute on stage takes ten years of practice offstage.” Those flawless, soaring melodies? They’re born from endless days and nights of relentless refinement. Or as another saying goes: *"Skip one day of practice, and you’ll know; skip three, and the audience will!"* So what does it really take to maintain that effortless grace under the spotlight? And in those long years of mastering an instrument, what were the moments that made them want to scream, doubt, or even quit?  

For this special evening, our artists will not only perform breathtaking solos but also pull back the curtain on the real stories behind the music—revealing the raw, unvarnished highs and lows of a musician’s path. Join us on a midsummer night to rediscover music through their resilience and passion.
